Toric IOLs

Typically, patients who undergo cataract surgery receive a monofocal IOL that does not correct existing vision problems such as astigmatism. If you have astigmatism, you may still experience blurred and distorted vision because a monofocal IOL cannot correct pre-existing astigmatism in the cornea. Best quality vision is not obtained unless the astigmatism is also corrected.
The AcrySof IQ Toric IOL is a foldable, single-piece, acrylic lens implanted during cataract surgery. It provides clear distance vision for patients with astigmatism, very often without the need for glasses after surgery.

Multifocal IOLs

The AcrySof IQ ReSTOR IOL is an innovative lens implant that allows cataract surgery patients WITHOUT astigmatism to see near, far and everywhere in between, in most cases without the need for glasses after surgery. It is a foldable single-piece,acrylic lens implanted during cataract surgery. For patients WITH pre-existing corneal astigmatism, additional procedures may be required at the time of cataract surgery or afterwards to achieve their best vision without glasses.
